You may be wondering about the work of the Transition Team and how it relates to the Horizon Team and the upcoming Call process. Horizon Team work focused on listening and discernment. Much of that work provided a foundation for the Transition Team. The work of the Transition Team is preparation; the work of the Call Team will be search and discernment.

During our preparation, we are following the Synod-provided detailed resource for Congregations in Transition. It outlines the work required during the Transition in preparation for the completion of the Mission Profile, which must be submitted before the Synod puts forward candidates.

The Mission Site Profile is a 10-page document that describes our congregational ministry and mission, and what characteristics we are looking for in a Lead Pastor. Over the past nine months, the Transition Team has been gathering the information necessary to complete the Mission Site Profile.
