The Service Committee focuses on Neighbor and Community Care. Throughout the year, the Service Committee leads initiatives that provide food, clothing, and housing support to the local community and the world.
A portion of the St. Andrew Ministry and Mission funds are distributed by the Service Committee to support local non-profits that impact hunger, houseless-ness, domestic violence, and children and families in poverty.
Agencies that were supported in 2020-2021 include:
Beaverton Clothes Closet | Foster Closet, Inc. |
Transitional School | EMO (Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon)–for hunger |
Lutheran World Relief | Habitat for Humanity–local |
Domestic Violence Center | Lutheran Community Services |
