St. Andrew is a Sanctuary Congregation committed to providing education, advocacy, accompaniment, shelter, and safety to immigrants at risk. In addition to supporting Afghan refugees, the congregation contracts with a Head Start program that serves families of all cultures and religions that qualify for their services. St. Andrew provides space to the Taiwanese Lutheran Church and the Immigrant Story nonprofit organization. We welcome all people into our worship space. On Sunday, October 26, Steve Claborne and Carol Harker from the Sanctuary Team will host a discussion of the process to follow if there are unannounced visits to St. Andrew from government officials seeking to detain immigrants.
