Lenten Devotional

For Lent this year, we are offering a devotional packet from A Sanctified Art.

We’re letting the Gospel of Luke guide us through Lent. Beginning with Jesus setting his face toward Jerusalem (Luke 9:51), this devotional flows through several familiar stories—the Good Samaritan, Mary and Martha, the fruitless fig tree, the Lost Sheep, Zacchaeus, and more. You may pick up a paper copy at the church or view the devotional online. Our license agreement with A Sanctified Art requires us to use a password to allow online access to their material. To receive a link to the online material and the password, sign up for our weekly Friday email, which will also give you links to our online worship services and more.

Earth Camp Registration Opening Soon!

Registration for Earth Camp 2025 opens in just two weeks on Friday, April 4!

Taking place from June 23 to June 27, this fifth-iteration of Earth Camp is not one you’ll want to miss. We have had at least 40 campers each of the last two years, with a maximum capacity of 48, so you’ll want to get your campers registered ASAP! Registration cost is $150 per camper, with a maximum total of $300 per household. For those with financial concerns, scholarships are available upon request. And, as always, it takes a village to make Earth Camp possible! If you would like to volunteer with Earth Camp this year and have not yet spoken with Kyler Vogt, send him an email at kvogt@standrewlutheran.com to get involved.

Adult Education

“If adult education does not become a priority for a congregation, at some point that congregation will cease to exist because its members will simply not know or understand the purpose of the congregation and their role in fulfilling that purpose.” —Neal Boese, Blueprint for Change, page 83.

RESIST

The season of Lent asks: What do you need to resist? Consumption? Taking on too much? Being too hard on yourself? Hopelessness? Apathy? Turning a blind eye to violence or contempt? Resist. It takes forty days, and then some. But it begins here, right where we are. Pause… hold… RESIST.
