What is Earth Camp?
Our Mission: Teach kids to connect with the earth on a spiritual, emotional, intellectual and spiritual level.
Fast Facts:
Earth Camp is intended for children entering 1st through 6th grade this fall (2026).
This year’s theme is “A Sense of Wonder.” Each day we will be exploring our connection with the natural world using one of our five senses! (Monday, sight; Tuesday, touch; Wednesday, hearing; Thursday, smell; Friday, taste)
- The dates for this year’s camp are June 22-26
- Camp is all outdoors all day (bathrooms in the church building will be used by all).
- Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
- Camp Fee is $150 per child, with a maximum $300 total per family. Scholarships and volunteer vouchers available!
Earth Camp is…
Spiritual.
Our faith inspires us to care for the natural world, and we access this inspiration through the teachings and rituals of the Lutheran tradition. We also recognize that a deep connection with nature is present in wide variety of major world religions and secular spiritual traditions. Earth Camp is designed to introduce kids to the “spiritual nature” (pun intended) of humanity’s relationship with the earth.

Earth Camp is for everyone regardless of race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, nationality, ability, or class. We especially emphasize welcoming our LGBTQ+ neighbors, which is reflected in the staff, teachers, volunteers, and theology behind Earth Camp.
Educational.
We love teaching kids about nature! Exploring our relationship to the natural means understanding more about the earth and ourselves. This is why we design Earth Camp with opportunities for physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual learning. We also know that kids learn in different ways, which is why our teachers use a wide variety of strategies throughout camp, including: Music, science experiments, tactile experiences, storytelling, multimedia, and more!
Fun!
Summer Camp is supposed to be fun, and we love to play at Earth Camp! We have daily opportunities for active games, creative crafts, delicious snacks, and camp-style sing-a-longs, meaning our camp schedule is packed full of excitement!
